One of the joys of being a family portrait photographer is getting to work with the same client year after year. I began working with the Pennington family over 10 years ago when the family purchased a session that I donated to the Piedmont Schools. It was the beginning of a wonderful relationship that continues to this day.
It has been a pleasure to capture images of the family as the kids grow and change. I took their first portraits when the kids were in elementary school and now their eldest daughter is in college. Last year we created a beautiful coffee table book of all of our family sessions that documents the passage of time for this lovely family.
I was honored to be asked to photograph their daughter when she was graduating from high school. Our senior portrait session included her immediate family as well as extended family members that flew in from across the country for this special event. I even went to the graduation party to capture some fun candid images with her family and friends.
A few years ago, when Beth Pennington decided to create her own law firm, Pennington and Lawson, she hired me to take professional headshots and group photos of her attorneys at the site of the old Pacific Stock Exchange. It was also a perfect opportunity to capture some custom marketing images from the interior of her San Francisco offices that were used as part of their website design.
I truly value the relationships that I have developed with my clients over the years. It is said that of all our beloved possessions, our pictures are among the most important. We cannot go back in time, but our pictures allow us to visit those memories anytime we choose. My job is to capture, preserve, and protect those memories forever. I love my job!
